In 2021, there were 200.2 thousand natural persons carrying out economic activity under certificate (self-employed) in the country. Unlike individual enterprises, a steady increase in the number of self-employed persons was observed: over a year, their number increased by 7.7 per cent, over a ten-year period – 2.1 times. In 2021, natural persons carrying out economic activity declared income of EUR 2.9 billion, which is by 35.1 per cent more than in the previous year. Over a ten-year period, their income grew 4 times.
