Satisfaction with various aspects of life

In 2022, the average rate of satisfaction with household financial situation stood at 6.4 points. Young people are slightly more satisfied with their household’s financial situation than older people. The higher the household income, the higher the satisfaction with financial situation. In the first income quintile group, the average rate of satisfaction with household’s financial situation stood at 5.2 points, in the fifth income quintile group – at 7.7 points.
In 2022, 33.9 per cent of the total population aged 16 and older rated the household’s financial situation as highly satisfactory (8–10 points). 46 per cent of the population aged 16–24 and 28 per cent of the population aged 65 and older rated their satisfaction with the household's financial situation as high.
In the fifth (the richest) income quintile group, only 3.1 per cent of the persons rated their satisfaction with the household’s financial situation as low (0 to 4 points). In the first income quintile group, the proportion of such persons made up 32.5 per cent. 15.8 per cent of persons in the first income quintile group and 60.4 per cent of persons in the fifth income quintile group rated their satisfaction with the household's financial situation as high.
63.1 per cent of people of retirement age and one in two persons aged 16–24 were highly satisfied with the amount of time spent on their favourite activities.
Two thirds of the population aged 16 and older were highly satisfied (8–10 points) with their personal relationships with relatives and friends. In older age groups, women were more likely than men to be highly satisfied with their personal relationships.
