At risk of poverty gap

In 2022, at-risk-of-poverty gap stood at 22.8 per cent. It means that median disposable income of persons living below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold was by 22.8 per cent lower than at-risk-of-poverty threshold. Compared to 2021, at‑risk‑of‑poverty gap increased by 0.4 percentage points. In 2022, at-risk-of poverty gap in urban and rural areas stood at 22.6 and 24.2 per cent respectively. In terms of age, the smallest at-risk-of-poverty gap was recorded in the group of persons aged 18–24 (20.2 per cent), the biggest – in the group of persons aged 50–64 (34.8 per cent).
