The difference between at-risk-of-poverty rate before social transfers and risk-of-poverty rate shows the impact of social transfers on reduction of the risk of poverty. With the deduction of social transfers (except old-age and survivors’ benefits) from disposable income, the at-risk-of-poverty rate would increase to 30 per cent in 2022. Against the previous year, the impact of social transfers on the at-risk-of-poverty rate decreased from 10.9 to 9.1 percentage points. Social transfers had the greatest impact on the at-risk-of-poverty rate for households consisting of single adult with children: in 2022, after the deduction of social transfers, the at-risk-of-poverty rate in these households  would increase from 35.6 to 57 per cent.
