At risk of poverty gap

In 2021, at-risk-of-poverty gap stood at 22.4 per cent. It means that median disposable income of persons living below the at-risk-of-poverty threshold was by 22.4 per cent lower than at-risk-of-poverty threshold. Compared to 2020, at‑risk‑of‑poverty gap decreased by 0.8 percentage point. In 2021, at-risk-of poverty gap in urban and rural areas stood at 21 and 26.7 per cent respectively. In terms of age, the smallest at-risk-of-poverty gap was recorded in the group of persons aged 65 and older (20 per cent); compared to the previous year, it remained almost unchanged.
