In 2020, there were 185.8 thousand natural persons carrying out economic activity under certificate (self-employed) in the country. Unlike individual enterprises, a steady increase in the number of self-employed persons was observed: over a year, their number increased by 5.2 per cent, over a ten-year period – 2.3 times. In 2020, natural persons carrying out economic activity declared income of EUR 2.1 billion, which is by 1.7 per cent less than in the previous year. Over a ten-year period, their income grew 3.4 times.
