The chapter provides statistical information on accommodation services as well as tour operators and travel agencies. It presents how the number of tourists has changed, the peculiarities of their travel, from which countries most tourists arrived to Lithuania.

In 2022, travel agencies and tour operators provided services for 103.4 thousand foreigners (of whom 82.2 thousand were sameday visitors) and 507.8 thousand Lithuanian residents (of whom 14.3 thousand were sameday visitors). Compared to 2021, the number of foreign tourists whose trips to Lithuania were organised by travel agencies or tour operators increased 5.6 times, the number of Lithuanian residents’ trips abroad increased 2.2 times.
Most of the foreigners using the services of travel agencies or tour operators arrived from Germany (43.7 per cent), France (10.4 per cent), and Israel (7.8 per cent). As regards Lithuanians’ trips with overnight stays, they travelled the most to Turkey (37.3 per cent), Greece (12.6 per cent), and Egypt (9.6 per cent).

In 2022, Lithuanian accommodation establishments received 3.8 million tourists, or 1.5 times more than in 2021.
Foreigners accounted for 30.1 per cent of the total number of the tourists accommodated (2.3 times more than in 2021). The majority of foreign tourists were from Latvia – 131.8 thousand (11.5 per cent), Poland – 117.6 thousand (10.2 per cent), Ukraine – 101.8 thousand (8.9 per cent), Germany – 99.0 thousand (8.6 per cent), Belarus – 98.3 thousand (8.5 per cent).
